Workplace Fairness Thought Community - March 2012 Luncheon
Join us for our March Luncheon focusing on The Role of Unions in
Workplace Fairness

Our guest speaker this month is Alan Brown. Al is currently
the Labour Relations Officer for the SAIT Academic Faculty
Association where his broad knowledge of the Alberta Labour
Relations Code is used on a daily basis. His responsibilities include grievance handling,
conflict resolution, contract negotiations and arbitration presentations on behalf of
the association.

Allan’s Labour Relations experience began with the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers Local 424 where he worked for 12 years as a labour organizer, lead
organizer and eventually Assistant Business Manager.
